Special Billing Options

Does your billing require additional care?

PCLP offers special billing options for our customers. From setting up third party notifications, large print and braille bills, bill extender or copies of back bills, we have you covered. Learn more about these services and contact Customer Assistance for more information.

Third Party Notification

The Third Party Notification program allows you to select a friend, relative or agency to receive copies of past-due reminders or final disconnect notices that are sent to you. In this way, even if you’re on vacation or haven’t received a notice for other reasons, the third party can work with us to help you avoid problems with your account. A designated third party doesn’t have the responsibility for paying your energy bill.

For more information or to enroll in this program, contact Customer Assistance.

If you’re a customer of Pike County Light & Power Company, you can print the Third-Party Notification form, complete and sign it, and mail it to us at the address located on the form.

Large Print and Braille Bills Available

If you have a relative, friend or neighbor who has difficulty reading energy bills, we can help. At a customer’s request, we can issue monthly energy statements in either large print or Braille — at absolutely no charge.

Large print or Braille bills help visually impaired customers meet their need to be independent by keeping track of their own account. So please — pass the word.

If you know someone in need of this service, contact Customer Assistance.

Bill Extender

Are you having difficulty paying your bill on time because your monthly Social Security or other check arrives after your payment due date? That’s why we offer the Bill Extender.

If you’re at least 60 years of age or on a fixed income, you may qualify for a bill extender and receive special protection from late payment charges.

A Bill Extender allows you to extend the due date on your energy bill up to 45 days after the billing date. With the Bill Extender, you don’t have to live with the monthly stress of meeting a payment due date.

To request a Bill Extender, contact Customer Assistance.

Need Copies of Back Bills?

At My Account, you can instantly access and print exact paper images of 13 months of previous billing statements at no charge.

If you need a billing statement going beyond 13 months please contact Customer Assistance.

How is an eBill different from a paper bill?

An eBill and a paper bill are identical; they differ only in the way the bill is delivered to you. A paper bill comes in the mail. An eBill arrives electronically at your computer as an e-mail. An eBill includes a link to view an image of your exact paper bill. You can even choose to pay your bill online through a link provided in the eBill.
