Weatherization programs help income eligible homeowners and renters save money by improving energy efficiency thereby reducing energy costs. Professionally trained crews evaluate homes, apartments, and other dwellings to determine what efficiency upgrades may be necessary. Upgrades may include things such as: insulation, appliance upgrades, new furnace installations, and sealing drafts around windows and doors.
Low-income families whose income is 200% or less of federal poverty levels can apply for the program with the Wayne County Redevelopment Authority, serving both Wayne and Pike Counties. You may contact them to be put on a waiting list at:
